If the Marvel Universe serves you lemons, maybe it's time to turn to DC for lemonade.

That's what the MCU 's actor behind the infamous villain Crossbones decided, and that's what he did.

We're talking about Frank Grillo and his surprising turn from MCU's most underused antagonist to potentially crucial part of DCU.

Frank Grillo's Brock Rumlow (a.k.a. Crossbones) was first introduced in MCU 9 years ago in Captain America: The Winter Soldier.

The actor then reprised his role in Captain America: Civil War ( 2016) and Avengers: Endgame (2019).

However, Marvel gave Grillo's character only outrageously short and unimportant cameos, which left a huge stain on Grillo's opinion of Marvel.

The actor has since revealed that he made the decision to leave Marvel behind, and now he has found new home at DC.

As Grillo, 57, has shared with ComicBook, Marvel "has never told the story" of Crossbones in its entirety in the movies.

This fact seemed to have led Grillo to the highest point of disenchantment with Marvel.

"I was disappointed, which is why I went over to DC," sharply concludes The Purge's actor.

The transition from one comic universe to another could potentially be a great opportunity for Grillo to give a new spin to his acting career.

Rumor has it, Grillo joined the Creature Commandos, which is the initial part of the new James Gunn-helmed DCU.

The animated series was announced earlier this year by Gunn and Peter Safran. The series is supposed to be based on a comic of the same name and follow a group of superhuman military men who are part of Project M.

As Gunn and Safran made the fans aware, the voice actors for the characters in Creature Commandos will also likely reprise the roles in live-action part of DCU.

Big things are in store for fans of the DC universe, especially with the eagerly awaited Creature Commandos series (which will jump-start the DCU along with the Superman: Legacy movie), and the potential introduction of Frank Grillo to the DCU.

It remains to be seen which role exactly will Grillo take on, but if the rumors are true, the upcoming Gods and Monsters chapter of DCU might have just added a major player.
