The future of Netflix's hit series The Witcher has been a hot topic of discussion among fans lately, as rumors have been circulating that the show may be canceled following Henry Cavill's departure.

However, the streaming giant has put these rumors to rest; newest update on The Witcher once again assures fans that the show will continue, with Liam Hemsworth stepping in to play the role of Heralt of Rivia and Netlix nowhere near close to canceling the series altogether.

Many fans were disappointed when they learned that Cavill was leaving the series, and some even started a petition calling for his return. The departure of Cavill, who is a huge fan of the books by Andrzej Sapkowski, has been attributed to creative differences between the actor and the show's writers. Some fans were also disappointed with the quality of the recent mini-series The Witcher: Origins, which received mixed reviews from viewers.

However, despite these setbacks, it looks like Netflix remains committed to The Witcher universe and has no plans to cancel the show. In fact, preliminary work on season 5 has already begun; earlier the show's creative team was very clear on plans to continue the series for at least five seasons.

Season 3 of The Witcher, the last one starring Cavill, will pick up where season 2 left off, with Geralt and Yennefer of Vengerberg (Anya Chalotra) working to protect Ciri (Freya Allan) from the dangers of the Continent. Enchanters, monarchs, and monsters will all be hunting for the young girl, making for an exciting season filled with action and adventure.

Season 3 is set to premiere in the summer of 2023, and fans can expect an exciting season filled with action, adventure, and drama, heightened by the very fact that it will be the last season with Cavill as Geralt.
