We have lost all hope already.

In a world where we are forced to live through major historical events on a daily basis, the idea of traveling a few centuries back in time seems very appealing.

Of course, people have always fought wars and struggled to survive, but there is something hypnotic about living far away from technology, the internet, and fast-paced capitalist environments.

Outlander hits all the right notes. Even though it's set in a bygone era, the show's fantastical premise and overwhelming interpersonal drama never give the viewer a chance to get bored. Even better, the show is about to become even more accessible, as Netflix is updating its library with another season.

Is Outlander on Netflix?

Before May 2024, only 5 seasons of Outlander were available for streaming on Netflix. One of the most popular historical series, which is now about to release a second part of its 7th season, has moved forward quite a bit, but those US fans who watched the show on Netflix didn't have access to any of the new plot developments.

Season 6 of Outlander aired back in 2022 and ended on May 1. Two years later, the season that has already been available to the whole world will finally land on the US Netflix and fans will be able to catch up with the rest of the story.

Even though the 6th season of the show faced some criticism from the viewers, it's safe to say that the fans of the drama, who have been starved of their favorite show for so long, will be pleasantly surprised by all the twists and turns that Outlander has included.

How Many Seasons Are in Outlander?

The Starz fantasy period drama now counts 7 seasons. Although, technically, only 6 and a half of them have aired. The second part of the 7th season, like many other TV series, fell victim to the WGA and SAG AFTRA strikes, which took place in 2023.

While there's no firm release date, it's already been announced that the show will premiere the rest of season 7 in November 2024. So keep an eye out for more news and behind-the-scenes updates to be the first to know about new episodes. Until then, you can watch all 6 previous episodes on Netflix starting May 1.
