It’s a must-watch for fans of Jennifer Aniston’s series.

Back in 2019, the world saw the first season of The Morning Show, following the aftermath of the allegations of sexual misconduct behind a network broadcast morning news program. Since then it has become one of Apple TV ’s trademark shows.

However, in the same year, a movie that is quite reminiscent of this series was released. Even though it received significantly less hype, it’s still worth a watch and our attention to the depicted events. Luckily, it’ll be added to Prime’s catalog tomorrow, on May 25.

The plot of this drama revolves around three ambitious women, who work at one of America's most powerful news networks, Fox News. While their broadcasts contain lots of provocative headlines, their names are about to become headlines themselves.

The point is that the women join efforts to expose the channel’s CEO, their professional “father” who made them famous, for sexual harassment and to protect other Fox’s women from his abusive behavior. They embark on a risky journey towards justice.

The most interesting, yet devastating part of the synopsis is that the film is based on the real-life events, as Roger Ailes, the chairman and CEO of Fox News, was indeed accused of sexually harassing female Fox employees and later was forced to resign from the post.

TV shows bingers can remember that the same story was used in Showtime ’s Russell Crowe-starring series The Loudest Voice (also 2019) and, of course, served as a biggest source of inspiration for The Morning Show’s screenwriters.

The courageous female leads are none other than the women who called back Ailes’ misconduct, Fox’s hosts Megyn Kelly and Gretchen Carlson, believably played by Charlize Theron and Nicole Kidman. The rest of the star-studded cast comprises Margot Robbie, John Lithgow, Kate McKinnon, Connie Britton and Malcolm McDowell.

Titled Bombshell, it appears to be quite a fair depiction of 2016’s Fox scandal, added by extremely convincing performances.

“The acting in this film is top notch and every single actor is a 10/10 in their respective roles,” fairly admits Redditor @anthonyleoncio.

This drama can impress and touch the heart strings of almost everyone, regardless of their political views. So don’t miss Bombshell, as it’ll become available on Prime Video tomorrow.
