Reality TV has been around for decades, and good folks at home just don’t seem to get tired of it! Competition or slice of life, such TV shows have always been popular — but it’s time to raise the stakes, both literally and figuratively: Prime Video has recently ordered a very spicy project no one saw coming but everyone always wanted!

Mr. Beast Now Works with Prime Video

The biggest YouTuber on the planet, Jimmy Donaldson aka Mr. Beast just signed with Prime Video: the content creator will work on Beast Games, the new competitive reality TV show with a massive prize. “The biggest reality competition series in television history” will feature 1000 contestants fighting for the bizarre $5M cash prize!

“My goal is to make the greatest show possible and prove YouTubers and creators can succeed on other platforms. Amazon gave me the creative control I need to try and make it happen. I hope to make the YouTube community proud,” Mr. Beast said.

The unprecedented scale of the upcoming show works well with the YouTuber’s general strategy of scaling bigger with every project. The immense number of contestants and the huge prize pool will make the series unmatched for years to come, and judging by Jimmy’s personal videos, he’ll make it work wonders.

Previously, the world’s biggest content creator turned the Squid Game from the popular South Korean TV show into reality. Granted that in Jimmy’s version, people were eliminated in more civilized ways, he still nailed the challenges and the setting. To recreate the Squid Game, Mr. Beast and his team built the arenas from the series with the added bonus of proper safety measures.

Every contestant received at least $2k, eliminated or not, and the winner took home a staggering $456k in cash. The entire video cost the YouTuber approximately $3.5M to make, but the upcoming Beast Games will put those numbers to shame. After all, the top prize is over 10 times larger than before, so the budget is going to be absolutely tremendous.
