And that only proves how genius the show's writing is.

There are not many series that are unpredictable until the very end. Some of the best shows are still not good at creating suspense and introducing jaw-dropping twists. So when the show does all that, you just can't stop talking about it.

One of these shows is AppleTV+'s Severance. The first season of the series dropped on the platform in 2022, and only three years later we finally got the second part of the show. And like any decent cinephile, I rushed to re-watch the first part of the show right before that happened and found some things I never paid attention to.

Remember in season 1 there were those wellness sessions with Ms. Casey? Well, in episode 2 of the season we come across Irving's session. And Ms. Casey shared some information about his outie and demanded that Irv "enjoy them all equally". It was pretty problematic for the sentimental Irv, and he actively responded to two of the items.

However, there was one that he received with confusion. Mrs. Casey said that his outie liked the sound of radar. We didn't understand anything at the time, and it wasn't until the season finale that we finally found out why she said that.

Turned out Radar was the name of his dog. When Irv’s innie went into the outside world, he saw the dog’s collar with the name on it and everything fell into place. Now the fans have a theory on why these sessions were held and their explanation seems quite reasonable.

“A popular theory is that Lumon may use these wellness sessions to test if severance chips are holding up, using a mix of truths, half-truths, and falsehood, while telling innies not to react in an effort to make it more obvious when they recognize something as true or false,” Redditor chloe-et-al said.

Severance seasons 1 and 2 are available to stream on AppleTV+.
