Has Love Island USA been annoying you lately? The villa might be luxurious, but the vibes are definitely off this season.

If you've been watching Love Island USA Season 7 lately, you might feel like something is off. The show that once had us setting up watch parties has somehow lost its sparkle. Season 6 was genuinely entertaining, so what happened with this one?

Well, we think we have some answers for you and some things that production needs to work on in the future seasons.

1. Voting Seems Rigged on ‘Love Island USA’ Season 7

Islanders keep eliminating the wrong people while protecting contestants who aren't adding anything to the experience.

Last night's Episode 18 was a perfect example of this frustration. Somehow Huda remains in the villa despite being single. Meanwhile, Jeremiah and Hannah, who had their connections in the villa, were voted off of Love Island.

2. Where Did All the Fun Go? ‘Love Island USA’ Lost Its Charm in Season 7

Love Island was actually funny once. This season people are taking it too seriously.

It's telling that one of the most widely praised episodes this season featured Megan Thee Stallion as a guest. She brought exactly what's been missing. And it's a genuine energy, humor and a reminder that the show is supposed to be fun.

3. The ‘Love Island’ Influencer Takeover: We Are Over It

We've already talked about it recently, but this season's cast is almost fully made up of influencers. While that's been a trend across reality TV for years, Season 7 has taken it to new heights. What the show desperately needs is a 50/50 approach to casting. Bring in some regular people with 9-to-5 jobs who have genuine reasons to be there.

4. ‘Love Island’ Contestants Are Blinded By Prize Money

The interactions this season don't feel natural. There's an underlying tension that seems to stem from one thing: most contestants appear to be there primarily for the cash prize. When someone's main motivation is winning rather than connecting, it shows.

Is There Hope for ‘Love Island’?

Despite all these complaints, we still think Love Island could make a comeback. The franchise has survived so long for a reason: there's something deeply entertaining about watching people find connections in paradise.

What producers need to do is listen to the fans. We want authentic contestants, genuine emotions and most importantly, more fun. Season 6 proved the formula works when it's executed properly.
