Richard Ramirez, Zodiac Killer & 3 more questions American Horror Story never answered.

Since 2011, American Horror Story has been keeping us on the edge of our seats. But with over a decade of screen time, a few plot holes were bound to slip through the cracks. That's just part of long-running shows. Today we're diving into the 5 most head-scratching mysteries the series never quite explained.

1. Michael Langdon’s Age in ‘AHS’: “Apocalypse”

Have you ever noticed the weird age issue with Michael Langdon in “Apocalypse”? Born during the “Murder House”, he somehow appears as a grown man in his twenties just a few years later. The show throws us a half-baked explanation about him being the Antichrist who ages differently.

2. “Hotel” & “Cult” Inconsistency: Zodiac Killer

In AHS: “Hotel”, the actual Zodiac Killer shows up at a ghost dinner party. But in the “Cult” season, we're told Valerie Solanas and her followers were behind those same murders.

So which is it? Was the Zodiac one creepy dude in a hood, or was it Valerie and her SCUM group? The show never bothers explaining how both versions could possibly be true.

3. “1984” & “Hotel” Inconsistency: Richard Ramirez

In “1984,” Richard Ramirez gets trapped at Camp Redwood in a never-ending death loop. The ghosts there keep killing him over and over for eternity.

But then how does he show up years later at the Hotel Cortez in “Hotel” for Devil's Night party? He can't be in two places at once! The show never explains how he escaped his Camp Redwood prison.

4. “Asylum” Aliens

Aliens in “Asylum” abduct Kit, experiment on his wives, and somehow make miracle babies. And then they are just not present through half of the story.

The show throws in all these sci-fi elements, but never bothers explaining why the aliens choose Kit or what they wanted. Were they good? Evil? Just really into weird experiments? We'll never know because the writers ghosted us with this one as well.

5. Vitalum Vitalis Inconsistency in ‘AHS’: “Coven”

In “Coven,” Queenie somehow brings Misty back from the dead. But then during the Seven Wonders test, she totally fails to save Zoe with the exact same power. Why did her resurrection abilities work perfectly fine one day and completely flopped the next? Kind of a big deal when it literally decides who becomes the next Supreme.
