‘Bluey’ Movie: Everything You Need to Know

Bluey fans, get ready for the most exciting news in the world: our favorite blue heeler is about to take her biggest adventure yet!
Every once in a while, a cartoon manages to appeal to both children and adults. Bluey is exactly that kind of show. And given its worldwide success, expanding the universe is inevitable.
Is There a ‘Bluey’ Movie? Not yet. But it's coming sooner than you think it is.
Back in December 2024, BBC Studios and The Walt Disney Company dropped the news about the upcoming Bluey movie.
“I really enjoyed the experience of working with a longer format on “The Sign” in Series 3, so going even further with a feature film feels like a natural extension of that. I’ve always thought Bluey deserved a theatrical movie. I want this to be an experiential event for the whole family to enjoy together,” Joe Brumm (the creator of Bluey) said to BBC.
What will ‘Bluey’ movie be about? The plot hasn't been revealed yet, but we can expect it to have the same level of charm and kindness as the main series. Maybe this time they'll have an antagonist to fight against. Who knows?
When will the ‘Bluey’ movie come out? The date hasn't been announced yet, but it is set to premier sometime in 2027 in theaters worldwide.
The ‘Bluey’ movie cast: we are expecting all 4 main characters (Bluey, Bingo, Bandit, and Chilli) to appear on the big screen.
Will Joe Brumm Leave ‘Bluey’ After the Movie?
The sad news: Joe Brumm will leave the Bluey universe after making this movie.
“I always said I wouldn’t keep making the show if I thought I couldn’t make any new season as good as the last. This would have been the case for me with a potential season four, so I’ve decided to take a break from my involvement in the TV series. In the event I can’t wrap my head around doing more seasons myself, “The Sign” will mark my TV finale for Bluey and I wrote it as such,” he wrote in his open letter.
Where Can I Watch ‘Bluey’ Right Now?
The 2027 premiere might feel far away, but there's plenty of Bluey magic to enjoy until then. You can catch all your favorite episodes on Disney Plus, fuboTV or DisneyNOW.
