Hacks just finished its fourth season, with a fifth season officially confirmed.

‘Hacks’ secret: essentially it's an unusual buddy comedy. But besides the central duo of Deborah and Ava, there's also the iconic pairing of Kayla and Jimmy.

The two confirmed that they appreciate the hard work fans put into celebrating the show. Stalter was the most enthusiastic about it, saying:

“Keep the fan edits coming. I don’t think [Jimmy and Kayla will] be a couple, but that would be so funny next season, we open up they’re on in the same apartment.”

Yes, but: though the actress doesn't see the two of them dating, she acknowledges their undeniable chemistry and goes even further.

"I can't see them dating. I could see them married, yeah. Not like, going on a date, but I could see them having kids together," she said, which brings us to the next point.

In fact, Stalter had pitched Kayla getting pregnant to showrunners.

“I really, really want Kayla to be pregnant. She doesn’t really know who the father is. It’s not Jimmy, but Jimmy steps up as the father,” she revealed.

Good news: Downs (who's one of the show creators, by the way) actually doesn't mind that plotline whatsoever!

"I love it. I am a father figure," he stated.

“How about instead we have Kayla elaborately fake a pregnancy for attention and try to gaslight Jimmy into thinking he is somehow the father through more and more elaborate hijinks and mind games,” Redditor onlythewinds suggested.
