Speaking of convincing herself, the trailer shows exactly that. Belly tries to trick herself into believing that Jeremiah is a better partner and that she's living the dream with him. She did the same in the books. All of this makes us think that the show is going the same route and that Bonrad is happening!

“Yea I didn’t like this trailer. It lacked depth. There was like zero about Belly’s inner struggle. Only like 3 Bonrad scenes….it was mostly just flashbacks for them. No context about the wedding. Like I get not wanting to give things away but damn,” Redditor AliRae146 said.
“I'm surprised people are unhappy about the amount of flashbacks — I LOVE how smoothly it flashes between past and present day scenes and it feels like such a beautiful way to tie up the entire series.
