Marvel, Supernatural, Star Trek, and everything fandom-related in between. If it's worth reading, watching, or listening to — I'm on it, and telling you about it.
I've been at Startefacts since the actual beginning back in 2022.
One of my early assignments was covering CinemaCon in Las Vegas, where I sat in a dark hall geeking out over Doctor Strange footage and thought: God, this is a dream job for me.
Well, turns out — not THE dream job, per se. Entertainment journalism is hard, harder than ever in 2026, with AI threatening your integrity and your work ethic at every turn. But hey: I still try. I love what I do, and I love writing about the MCU, however shitty their movies have gotten over the last few years. I'm still in my chair in a movie theater when a new Nolan movie comes out, or a Guy Ritchie movie, or frankly any Statham movie.
What I cover: the MCU and superhero cinema, long-running genre TV (Supernatural, Star Trek, and their fandoms), fan culture and how it shapes what gets made, action filmmaking and the directors who take it seriously.
How I work: I watch the thing before I write about it — the whole thing, not the recap. I rewatch scenes when my memory isn't reliable, which is often. I check release dates, credits, production history, and source material against primary sources — press notes, the books, the people who made it — not the top-ranking aggregator. If I got something wrong, I fix it and say so in the piece.
Where else to find me:Twitter/X — tips, corrections, and complaints about my Statham opinions all welcome.
What did Knox's dad build in Silo? Harwood paid for it with a faked death and a new life
Knox (Shane McRae) grew up believing his father died in a tunnel collapse in the mines of Silo 18. There is a grave. There is even a body in it. It belongs to somebody else.
Who is Harwood in Silo? Billings put Orla Kent's murder to him face to face
Ed Harwood, played by Ned Dennehy, runs Construction in Silo 18 and, it turns out, an entire concealed logistics operation beneath it. For most of season 3 he's the man Sheriff Paul Billings (Chinaza Uche) cannot pin anything on — seven previous investigations, seven dead ends.
What happens to Cole in My Life with the Walter Boys? Noah LaLonde calls it "scary to think" about
All 10 episodes of season 3 dropped on Netflix on 6 August 2026, and the finale, "The Beautiful and the Damned", stacks three cliffhangers in its closing minutes. Cole Walter's is the one that had people refreshing renewal news.
How is Shirley pregnant in Silo? Juliette spots it before Shirley says a word
Pregnancy in Silo 18 is not a private matter. Every woman carries a birth-control implant, and permission to conceive is handed out by lottery — the whole series opened with a couple denied one. So a mechanic quietly expecting a baby is a small act of sabotage.
Why did Amy Huberman leave Harry Wild? Orla didn't leave with her — the role was recast
Viewers who started series 4 of Acorn TV's Irish mystery in May 2025 found Charlie Wild's wife Orla still very much in the show, still married, still turning up at the Wild/Reid Detective Agency — and played by a completely different actress.
Faye Domaille woke up the morning after her 29th birthday party to an empty flat in Canary Wharf. Her fiancé's location sharing was off, his phone was dead, and by the time he answered he was a two-hour walk away — in flip-flops. "He's literally vanished," she says on camera.
